Finally caught "The Holdovers" on Peacock last night.
a) Alexander Payne and Paul Giamatti always make cinema gold. (20 years on, "Sideways" is still a masterpiece.)
b) Payne time-warped the movie to *feel* period (in this case, 1970); it's edited, shot and colorized that way (straight down to the graphics and titles that open it).
Strongly recommended, but with this proviso: It's billed as a comedy and it is 100% not. It's a drama with comedic moments.
