'Hindu' here. Teacher of postural yoga and scholor of museum yoga. The term itself ('Hindu') is problematic since it was 'given' by the British. 'Yoga'- is a way of life. My mother has only ever attended one yoga class with me (I forced her to come with me).
However, many 'hindus' like my mum have practiced 'yoga' since birth via 'bhakti' (prayer/devotion. normally dogmatic).
There is also karma yoga...lots of ways of essentially uniting with the supreme spirit. And we do this through COMMUNITY.
