Can the #housingcrisis be solved by building on brownfield sites (in England), a much touted option by those who want to avoid 'disfiguring' our countryside?
On the estimates below there is a clear shortfall even if *all* brownfield sites were exploited in the next fifteen years.
And of course, its worth stressing that part of the crisis is a national maldistribution of dwelling space in any case, so new #houses are a necessary but not sufficient response to the ongoing problem!
