My main worries around AI is not skynet like scenarios which I find not impossible, but definitely implausible. Rather my concern is more about unscrupulous people using it to further destroy and pollute public discourse, taking the oxygen out of our democracies.
That said I also doubt there is a regulatory way to avoid it as the unscrupulous actors on the world stage will keep pushing ahead regardless #AI
