I've recently started following the Loose Ends Project. I have neither the #knitting or #crochet skills to help out with this yet, but maybe someday I will.
The project accepts works left unfinished by crafters, and connects that work with a (hopefully local) crafter who -can- finish it and get it to the planned recipient.
What a lovely concept.
