If spammers have the right to mess up the network, I have the right to install Knots.
The so-called “Bitcoiners” defenders of core will tell you that filters are useless because in the end the spam ends up on the chain, but the truth is that filters slow down the propagation of spam and can lead to the extreme that the spam does not reach the miner in time.
