For writing I use Scrivener. (RTF based but can work with Markdown/Pandoc.) However Scriv has no Android or (supported) Linux port (WINE reportedly works) and a dependency on Dropbox for sync which has become problematic on macOS (because Scriv hasn't kept up with general cloud sync—would require a file format hence back end redesign).
