another imx8mplus pocket reform tip: unfortunately, firefox has pretty bad performance on this chip. to have a decent web browsing experience, i (sigh) have to recommend chromium (or if you want to tweak a bit more, ungoogled-chromium via flatpak) and, importantly, turn off "graphics acceleration" in settings. etnaviv has some bugs with chromium (or the other way around) that unfortunately never got fixed, and software rendering is mostly faster anyways.
