I have a hunch due to how this works that it may allow them to track EVERY PAYMENT routed through your node, since all their explanations say your node is not involved until it receives an HTLC, and then Amboss is contacted to see if this is intended for your LN address and get the preimage.

And the “phantom payments” stuff is just unnecessary buzzwords that adds complexity and allows them to possibly cover up this tracking.
