#EMERGENCY
We have a neighbor who's been homebound… since before our pandemic… with a skin infection that makes it painful to wear clothing. She does not leave her apartment and relies on us and others to help her with things.
There are presently five police officers outside her door demanding she go with them. Our local social services non-profit is refusing to get involved, saying to let the police handle it: "They're professionals."
Anyone in #NYC who can intervene as a patient advocate?
