Joy Division released their first EP, “An Ideal for Living”.
From the opening track, you know this is gonna be good.
The sound here reflects the classic punk that inspired the band to form in the first place. Curtis’ voice was much less refined, possessing a more youthful, carefree quality that matched the energetic guitars and fast-paced drums.
I wish this was my first intro to the band (that was “Unknown Pleasures”)
