I’m going to ignore fedi for the rest of the day but the only thing I have to say to anyone misinformed or uneducated on the topic is that latinidad is not a race, it is a white supremacist construct that is a product of the Spanish caste system imposed long ago.
This idea that someone being from a country in latin america making them “ethnic” is ridiculous. Race and nationality are different. Latinidad as a concept promotes the “cosmic race” and the idea that we are all the same when it has never been the case. Anti-Blackness is present in latin america, anti indigeneity is also rampant. Anyone pretending otherwise is full of shit or an ignorant American or European who shouldn’t be speaking on how racial dynamics work in latin america.

This shit is real in south america, but don’t bullshit and pretend that real organized groups underground are the same as self hating chicanos in the U.S.
