There is a lot of angst #OnHere tonight 🤷🏻♂️
I just checked, and from a raw numbers perspective, I have more followers on Mastodon in a year than I accumulated over 10+ years on my main Twitter account.
My use case for #microblogging was never to be an influencer, it was for conversations and sense-making.
I think some people are experiencing unprocessed grief over the way Twitter operated as a digital community.
It’s a valid emotion, but also, Geocities, Friendster, and MySpace were things.
