Is there a name for the bias that can occur when someone has invested into something, and becomes more prone to defend that thing?
Like, say, a politician who has lots of money tied up in oil investments, who feels compelled to defend and promote oil as a result. Or someone who has their identity wrapped up in xyz, so they feel a stronger need to defend xyz.
