Brian Thompson isn't working class OR a hero in any sense of the word in any language. And everyone knows it.
So, the NYT, by actually printing this opinion, gives it relevance and says that it's a justified position.
You might as well have an article like, "Crystal Meth, not Orange Juice, is a better source of vitamin C". Printing THAT would me that it actually IS debatable that Meth is good for you.
Maybe they've gained some readers, but I cancelled my subscription and I've blocked them from my networks.
