I think we inherit these anxieties from our parents.
Sadly my parents just didn't have great genes even though they seemed pretty normal to me when I was a kid (sorta), in retrospect, they didn't have healthy upbringing and they both died young.
Despite what I inherited and my ongoing shittiness, I've now survived my dad by 16 yrs and my mum by 30.
I'm sure glad I didn't obey everything they told me! LOL
