There are some methods that ignore these problems, but they only work well with low temp metals like aluminum or zamak.
The downside of vacuum casting is you need an electric kiln to fire the investment, which gets expensive. If you do ever decide to get into it though you could probably build your own since you seem to have the tool and skills
