Random notes about the inauguration:
- never seen so much corruption in one room
- they have their servants refer to them as “honorable” but the reality is quite the opposite and this was sickening to listen to
- the 2 hosts of the official stream talked so much about the weather and temperatures that it made it seem like we’re a nation of wimps. So much whining about cold … deal with it.
- Elon was chatting with Sundar a lot as his inauguration buddy
- the tech elite came to kiss the ring so as to not face the wrath of their dear leader later
- I was surprised but not surprised- probably disappointed more than anything at Trump using this venue to further promote his politics - he grilled the past president mistakes right in front of them. I can’t imagine what was going through their heads. Shameful, no matter what their policies were imo. Divisive.
- Bill Clinton can’t seem to turn off his smile. Concerning.
- the whole thing reeked of idiocracy in some way
- trump wants to curb spending but spent ungodly amounts - makes you wonder what he’s talking about
- the desire to end wars seems genuine but ya never know …
- it did feel like trump has more leniency to get things done now. Reflected in his speech but you know how these things go .. or don’t.
- many odd moments of waiting. Surprised at the poor coordination. Technical issues with underwood didn’t help the image. In some ways it felt reflective of the current state of things
- no mention of Ross or BSR - not at all surprising.
- did anyone spot Milei? He attended
- Tim Cook did not look happy to be there at all. My guess is he despises the whole thing.
- surprisingly it did feel like some historical change might be coming and trump speech had a sense of unity about it despite being politically divisive. My guess is putting America first made it feel that way
- enjoyed the end of wokeness sentiment
- Barron is tall af. My guess is he will be president at some point. Seems sharp, mannered, patient. Probably being groomed for the position.
That is all. Good morning! ☕️
