Jokes aside, when something becomes "retro" is an interesting question. For example, by 2000, any of my classmates who were into games would have thought of NES and probably SNES as "retro" or at least "old," even thought they saw their last US games around 94/97 respectively. But I doubt people think of PS3 the same way in 2025 as the NES or even SNES in 2000-01. I could be wrong though, just my impression.
