This shouldn't be a hot take, but please don't use choke or chain collars for your animals. In fact, don't use collars for fastening leashes at all. They choke your animal. I'm honestly not sure why they're legal at all.

Please instead use a harness. With a harness, you have better control of your animal because you are holding the center of their body and not their neck. You don't run the risk of bruising an animal's neck.

Harnesses can also have little pockets for things like poop bags and treats so you don't forget them. You can also clearly mark your dog as anxious or aggressive or in training much better on the side of a harness versus a collar.

Please don't use devices meant to choke animals when we have many better options available. If you see this and can't afford a harness, let me know, and I will purchase one for you.
