Definitely, there is the potential for a truly good, gritty and tactically engaging one year war game floating in the aether that could compete with Armoured Core and MechWarrior, there was just never the talent and recourses dedicated to it.
All the elements are there:
>bulky mechs requiring forethought for positioning and savvy use of recourses.
>Modular damage effecting playstyle throughout a mission/campaign as more parts accrue damage or are destroyed.
>Range of models and loadouts allowing for different playstyles between assault, stand-off firepower, and manoeuvrability.
>Battlefields spanning every terrain around the world +the option for extra-terrestrial battles.
>Context of the entire Gundam UC universe adding great depth to the world story that the player could be thrown into.
