Do open-source software & public key cryptography have a potential to change people's perception of key management & storage? 🔐
Not long time ago, only you owned physical keys when buying a vehicle. It has changed a bit with digitalization & smart key technology. Now, emergency keys (in form of codes) are forcibly shared & stored somewhere on company's servers.
How safe are they? Where are they stored? Is it a centralized database?
Shouldn't it be an opt-in option?
