Regarding the recent incident in #NewYorkCity involving #FareEvasion, I will not comment more on the police violence. However, I believe that #NYC is the most fit (technically, not that there is political appetite for it) to implement a universal progressive tax for #PublicTransport, replacing fares. There's already mandatory pre-tax transit benefits and a low-income fare program, but they both only serve certain segments of the population, so why not merge them to serve everyone?
