Hmmm is it that common to ask a speaker for a presentation at a local chapter of national society/organization dinner event and not compensate? Besides "a dinner and a small gift as a token of our appreciation" that I was told generally for speakers when I brought up a speaker fee. This is for an interactive presentation with samples and logistics coordination with the dinner venue
