When I was growing up my dad painted our home as it was needed, and during the summer he would get me helping him do it. There's pictures of me and him up on the roof painting the easier, safer sections. He wouldn't let me do the more not safe stuff.
He also taught me how to replace weather boards, which may come in handy with our current house 🤣
