The Legendary Man's Alice Springs Chicken
Outback Steakhouse has a dish called Alice Springs Chicken, but I felt it was not Legendary enough for my own kitchen. So I vastly improved upon it with my own Legendary flavors. This recipe was requested by Marie. So I took the time out to quickly jot it down for you all to enjoy. Please let me know what you think and if you appreciate it.

[Ingredients:]
1 1/2 pounds chicken breast
1 pound sliced maple bacon
1 pound portobello mushrooms
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 cup shredded mozerella cheese
(Legendary Seasoning)
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon turmeric
(Maple Honey Mustard Sauce)
1/8th cup yellow mustard
1/8th cup maple syrup
4 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
[Instructions:]
Step 1: Take a stainless steel baking pan and apply a thin coat of olive oil. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2: Take the ingredients for the Legendary Seasoning. Place them into a bowl and use a spoon to fully blend it all together.
Step 3: Drizzle olive oil over the chicken breasts. Generously apply the chicken with the Legendary Seasoning on both sides. Place it onto the baking pan and pop it in the oven for 30-35 minutes until fully cooked.
Step 4: While the chicken is cooking in the oven. Cook up the bacon in the frying pan on a medium heat until they are decently crispy. Then remove the slices from the frying pan and set aside on a dish.
Step 5: Thinly slice the portobello mushrooms. Put them into the frying pan with the bacon grease and cook on a medium heat until they are just slightly golden brown. Then remove the mushrooms from the frying pan and set aside in a bowl.
Step 6: Remove the chicken breasts from the oven and place the pan on the counter top. Using your fingers, break apart the pieces of bacon to the length of each chicken breast. Then place them directly on the chicken. Spoon the mushrooms on top of the bacon evenly. Finally finish it off by applying a generous layer of the shredded cheeses on top of the chicken breasts. Place the pan back into the oven to cook for an additional 8-10 minutes until the cheese is fully melted.
Step 7: While the chicken is finishing cooking take all the ingredients for the maple honey mustard sauce. Place them it into a bowl and whisk it together until fully blended.
Step 8: Remove the chicken from the oven and plate them on a dish. Drizzle the maple honey mustard sauce generously all over each piece of chicken. Then serve up the unrelenting flavors of absolutely Legendary deliciousness and enjoy.
