Certainly, it could confirm the expectation by bond traders & other #finance market players that the new year will see #centralbanks reduce #interestrates, or,
It could indicate that the 'smart money' expects bad economic news in the #NewYear & so wants to 'lock-in' low(er) refinancing rates before interest rates head up again in response to economic risk(s)?
If UK is any guide it may be the latter!
