When I moved here I was still on Twitter for an overlap period, so just followed as people mentioned their Mastodon.
For Bluesky I originally did the same, so it's run for a while with a very small number of follows. A couple of days back I found a couple of relevant Bluesky Starter packs that group together groups of Bluesky users into certain communities, & that kickstarted a better experience there.
