A Lafite label?This historic estate (roots to the 1750s) has gone through changes! Lafite bought half in 1992 from owner Julio Bastos.He later left to create Dona Maria. Today, sometimes folks call Dona Maria "Quinta do Carmo," a nod to history,but big Bacalhôa bought at least the label and brand in 2008.
They always age well.This is gorgeous. Fresh, silky and complex with grip, there's a meaty hint and elegance.Typically Aragonez, Alicante, Cab, Syrah. 14%, $40-ish #wine #portugal #alentejo
