Encode the instructions for a everything needed for a off world colony into synthetic DNA, and create nanobots that will execute the encoded software for creating the larger industrial robots that will do the heavy lifting.
Embed all that into the hull of the space craft, and then blow it up as it enters the atmosphere.
Each fragment will activate and start executing it's (now) distributed program just like a seed pod explodes seeds that germinate on contact with the soil.
