The architects of the Texas Heartbeat Law (SB8) have now brought a new level of cruelty. Local ordinances that “make it illegal to transport anyone to get an abortion on roads within the city or county limits. The laws allow any private citizen to sue a person or organization they suspect of violating the ordinance.”
Notice, once again, that the state is not enforcing the law—private citizens are.
