There's an extent to which the truth will always be a negotiation. Whether due to the limits of our perception, the quality of the input data, our need to limit disclosure in the name of privacy, our ego protecting itself, etc. To speak ones truth balances the tension, to an extent, that naturally arises from informational asymmetry, but the scales are not visible. We can sometimes tell a deeper truth through a lie, a deeper lie through the truth.
