I have literally not cared one jot what GW says for my entire life. The lore wargames provide has long been intended to serve as a scaffold from which you take all that you'd like, to create your own stories. I care more about what the greasy Chinese people who make the knock off kits I buy think about Komodo Dragons than I care for the opinions of a corporation. Nor shall I surrender any ground I cared to claim just because some faggot in a suit tells me Sergeant Angus McHaggis of the space marine chapter of the Knights of Shiddenfarten takes it up the arse from Brother Captain English.
If people are going to just smile and nod when told things by a man in a suit, they weren't ever worth speaking to in the first place except to try and position them to plant trees and in general not fuck up my planet; IE to convince them of things that actually effect me and matter.
