I am just dumbfounded that there are actually Jews who interpret the scripture this way. I'm sure not all do. This is just ridiculous.
Now I will admit that I have sometimes found it odd that Isaac waited until he was 40 years old to get married. But even today we have movies like "40 Year Old Virgin". I do think that things were different back then because people lived so much longer, with Isaac living to be 185 years old himself, for example. So you could probably take your time to find the right woman! I've also wondered before if his going blind had something to do with his waiting for so long to get married 👀.
