I just finished rereading The Gathering Storm, or Book 12 of The Wheel of Time, and after watching Episode 7 of the TV show and seeing the visceral interactions between Egwene and Renna, I’m reminded of this line from the book during the Seanchan raid at the White Tower:
“Each faceless Seanchan that Egwene struck down seemed to be Renna in her mind’s eye. [...]
This raid had to *cost* them.”
Hopefully the TV series will realize this long-term payoff seeded in Ep7.
