I had never heard of that project. The maturity is great and particularly enjoy that they send a stream of noise to selected services, this is critical to make difficult pinpointing the communication origin/destination.
However, it is an isolated development. If you notice, the number of potential users is reduced. There is power in numbers, and nostr is a combination of different things using the same methods. If Pear / Hyperswarm could be combined with Nostr, then we'd be looking at a wonderful tool that now can reach tens of thousand users since this could be incorporated by default inside the relays.
If you like the idea, maybe you can talk to the Holepunch team to consider this possibility?
