It depends on the mint - you received ecash from Umint.cash in this case. When you send the ecash to primal, Umint melts the ecash and sends bitcoin from its lightning node to Strike's node (which is the Primal backend). Umint pays the fees to get it there (which they could pass onto you).
Boardwalk is just the ecash wallet.
