R.I.P Nikita. It was an honour to know you. Nikita was so touched to hear about my concern for the people of Gorlovka he made it a human interest/compassion story for his newspaper.
Nikita was the journalist photographer with Vera who photographed many of the kids who received my yearly Christmas gifts to give them hope when life was bleakest for them.
Keep these photos coming Vera. So glad to have brought such smiles to children who know nothing but war and hide under the bed when they hear shelling.
