This is fantastic news, it's wonderful to see people moving back to self hosting.
I have seen a lot of developers try and keep control over their customers recently, it's not cool.
Obviously I don't know your arrangement, but check to see if you have full and sole control of your domain name, after the initial setup, there are not many reasons a developer needs access to this, and also full access to your files and database.
