I thought Iran might get dragged in. And Russia would probably get involved via proxy. And China might verbally support Russia or support them via trade.
But I really didn't think China would get involved with warships, at least not this early. This is a big suprise to me. China has seemed to care only about the South China Sea, not the Middle East. The fact that they are making these statements and sending in six warships is worrying.
