Crape myrtles are beautiful. We have many of them at my university (pink ones like this and white ones). A row of them was recently planted along the street beside our building. A huge pink one once grew outside the window of my new office, but it was cut down a few years ago. New growth is coming out of its stump, though, and I hope it grows back eventually.
A cool rain shower sounds nice! Temperatures have been around 37 C here for the last week, with no rain.
