I had a talk with an officer at work last week. It was just a casual thing ... asking me how I liked my team and praising me for fitting so well and being so professional.
Just today, a supervisor position opened in my department. My boss is on a well-earned vacation. Every member of my team has reached out individually and told me to apply (not asked, told).
10 years as a director in an utterly thankless job ... 1.5 years in a great environment.
