re: AI stealing livelihoods - Luckily, people like people. They crave connection & authenticity. If I see someone speak in public, or meet them, I would prefer to buy their book than to Google or GPT for what their book contains. This resembles the crisis that musicians encountered when streaming services began to dominate. They pivoted, and now musicians make most of their money through in-person events & merch. Toss in 3D printing & robots, and that model is coming for every type of creator.
