I don't like it when people say that kids are cruel. Some kids are, for sure, but you can generally readily identify those little psychos.
When people say that though, they're usually referring to the way kids don't have social filters. That's not the same as cruelty.
Cruelty has conscious intent. Despite the sting of their remarks, kids aren't usually trying to hurt anyone.
