Back in March, at QCon London I gave a talk summarizing the current state of play for #carbon #sustainability information from #cloud providers. I also proposed that rather than monthly totals, we really want real time carbon data at one minute intervals. That turned into a project proposal at the green software foundation and that proposal was approved this week, so a group of us are working to define what that standard would look like, and work to convince cloud providers to support it.
