It's funny that most people look at their paycheck and how big it is to see how well they are doing financially.
A much better way is to look over your net worth increase weekly
If you were getting paid half as much at a different job, but you were saving/increasing sweat equity/etc by $500 per week compared to $250 per week, the less pay job would be better financially.
A good example of this is someone who starts a successful business but only pays themselves a low salary. Their net worth is increasing rapidly if it becomes a successful business although their paycheck is low
