Well, I found this drawing by Charles Keeping today, alongside other neglected treasures in an old plan chest. I had been wondering where it was! It's an illustration for my Tale of Sir Gawain. I feel so privileged to have had Keeping illustrate one of my books. I only met him once, for tea before the awards ceremony for what was then the Kurt Maschler Award, which the book was shortlisted for. "Don't get your hopes up, Neil" he said, because he already knew he had won it with Charles Causley (who was too ill to attend).
