The terminal emulator I wrote was surprisingly good.
It was built into a Tron-like animated user interface I developed with OpenFrameworks, and I wanted the project to be at least somewhat useful. Since it was an OpenGL application, the terminal was also GPU-accelerated and beat quite a a few others in my benchmarks. It had some weird glitches, though, that I was never able to fix.
