Interesting. When I'm doing a for loop it's almost always the default 'x'. When I'm reading a file, I pretty much always go with a while loop, and it's usually something like cat filename.txt|while read LINE. Maybe my code is even worse than I thought it was, which is embarrassing since I thought it was pretty bad already.
