The pitifully low turnout in the GE and behaviour of Starmer's rightwing government are indeed indicators that FPTP is in desperate need of replacement.
Essentially what we have now, despite their parliamentary majority, is an uneasy Labour government with the Conservatives and Reform dictating policy via the rightwing press.
I suspect a lot of people in the disUnited Kingdom voted Labour because they were the 'least worst option'. This is not a functioning democracy.
